Our Approach to Investment
The Charity Service believes that funds set aside for charitable giving should be invested ethically. We work with two investment management firms, Castlefield and Tribe Impact Capital, that specialise in sustainable investing. Donor Advised Fund holders can indicate which firm they would prefer to manage their investments. We also welcome requests from donors to add to our portfolio of investment management firms and would encourage potential donors to discuss their options with us.
To find out more about our approach to investment or to discuss your options please contact our Head of Philanthropy, Rachel Tomlins, at [email protected].

Castlefield
Castlefield is an award-winning, employee-owned investment management and financial planning group, with a reputation for being at the forefront of ethical investing.
We offer values-based investment from the perspective of being a values-based manager. What this means is that alongside our Thoughtful Investor approach, we operate Castlefield with our own corporate sustainability very much in mind – we expect the same high governance standards as our investee firms, evidenced by our membership to numerous ‘Good Business’ initiatives and third-party validations such as living wage, disability confident, age friendly employer, Women in Finance, 30% club, Good Business charter and GM Good Employment charter.
That’s why we’re known as the Thoughtful Investor ®.
